There is currently road improvements going on in Covington Indiana. I feel these improvements are not necessary and a waste of money. They will hurt local businesses since they will be restricting 136 through town. They are also taking out trees that don't need to be removed. The project is currently set to take 5 years to complete. So Covington won't have the trees it had for 55+ years. I didn't attend the town meeting mentioned since I was not told about it. Out of a population of 2000+ people 35 showed up since apparently this was hush hush. I talked to a few people around town and they weren't aware of any meeting. They are also disgusted with the gross mis-use of Indiana tax payer money.
The road was fine before this started except for some storm drains that could've been dug up and replaced without extensive road removal.
Milestone is the contractor working on this project.
